I updated the portfolio with the temporary ROKON website I did. ROKON is an indie source magazine launching in Seoul. I'm involved with the web side of things. We hope to put together an extension of the magazine in a web interface. After that's all in place I'll move onto print design and help give the magazine the push it needs. Visit ROKON.

For the last year or so I've been studying Korean. I'm at a stage now where I'm itching to design again. I've gained so much inspiration from the things I've seen in the past year. A lot of this will come through in a new personal site. I'll also be continuing to design for bands and Keikaku.net. Furthermore I'll be based in Korea for one more year since things are starting to get interesting there in the design scene.

I'm still in Seoul studying Korean, culture and a little Japanese. Of course I've been soaking in all the wonderful graphic design that has been gracing the streets of Seoul. Whether it's new promo ads for new stores, event posted plastered on any inch of free space or the numerous billboards. Seoul's graphic designers are producing some wonderful clean but complex designs recently with much needed inspiration from western typography. Great stuff! The inspiration search is as ever fruitful.

Since last September I've been living in South Korea. The design here is pretty inspirational but I'm struggling to find time myself to design. I'm currently studying Korean and absorbing as much culture as I can. I think my next wave of designs will take on a different form to my usual style such is the influence of my travels. I'm studying until April but will hopefully find a way to squeeze in design before then. I've taken many photographs as a way to semi-document my Asian experience. They can be viewed here.

I've finally launched this portfolio. Check out the about section as I explain the concept of this site. The portfolio will be updated as I get more access to my work in University. Updating the site is painless due to a custom CMS I designed. Subscribe to the RSS feed for updates. Anyway let me know what you think via the contact form.
